of all my best wishes for the new year, that your life may be as you
want it to be! A good health and lots of good creations!
I start
this event NOT because I want it so much, NOT because I have nothing
else to do, I start this event to make sure you don't have to write the
same story in the future!
My story started more then 10 years ago. As
an young artist I asked a friend to built me a website about my work.
My name is David (deev), I make sculptures (art), so
www.artdeev.com
was born. More then 10 years I put love and work in this site so I felt
like a proud father about this virtual creation. Pagerank 4 on Google,
the first page to show up under 'metal art sculptures', +500 links
pointing to it and many thousands of people who have visited it and have
my business cards ever since. But sometimes happy stories come to an
end,...when you don't follow (or even forget to follow) the rules of Big
Brother, untouchable and cold.
Ten years ago my friend created my
site at Yahoo. I thought it was a good idea to choose for a well known
company in which I honestly believed until two months ago! Two months
ago from one second to the other I was no longer the owner of my own
websitename!!! Yahoo had sold my name!!! Without my permission, without I
knew about it they sold my artdeev.com
to an Australian Domainname company. What the f**k happened, what went
wrong? I didn't understand. Seems that the contract of 10 years expired,
and also the 40 days above that time. How could this happen? What
mistake have I made? They didn't ask me, they didn't contact me, nor the
friend who created the site ten years ago! She still seemed to be the
official owner, she still lives on the same address, has the same phone
number as 10 years ago. Suddenly there it was, my mistake: I didn't have
the password or an email-address linked to the creation of the site! I
never knew or asked my friend about it and she thought she gave it to
me. So maybe (?) yahoo has sent out an email to notify about the
expiring? Thing is that not I, nor my friend ever opened this mail
address at all in ten years time, so you would think the mails must have
been returned to the sender and they therefor would phone or write to
the post address of the owner!? No, expired, sold, new owner. And what
about my own name then and my mail address, it is on the site and I
always payed then with visa, so they knew my name.
When I contact the
'new' owner two days later an I put a backorder (to see I can buy it
back) for the site I get no answer. In the mean time an other friend of
mine who is IT consultant and journalist is contacting the Yahoo-chiefs
in Europe and America about this matter. A few days later the site
becomes an online casino and a few more days later the site gets his 3th
owner!?, again an domain-seller company in Portland this time. When I
ask to buy my name back the answer is dry and clear: "Our domain sales
experts can research the availability of any domain name. Simply enter
an offer of $2500 or more and we'll get started!" Simply? Excuse me, I
forgot to pay $10 for the hole year, so this is what you have paid for
it also!!! Nice business!!!
The story is even a little bit more
complicated, but these are the most important facts. So on the other
side of the world a company owns my site name now, they have caused me
more then one month not to be able to work,... I live with my family
from my work and as the most of you people know how hard it is to make a
living out of art. But Big Brother only look at the rules, rules that
he has written! No compassion, no humanity, no feelings, no hart, NO
ART!!! "Simply" would have been that when I noticed the site was gone I
could have acted, I could have bought it back and pay a tax for being to
late. If today you type in the words 'vanorbeek david' on google,
artdeev shows up. A site about gambling, poker, bingo, nothing to do
with me at all, but my name is associated with it! Is this legal then,
because what they did is legal!!!
I would like to ask all of you,
little brothers and little sisters, as a sort of support and as proof
that you have read this story so you don't have to write the same in the
future, to 'like', 'follow', 'join' this event and maybe to "invite"
(in the head of the page) all of your other friends to read and join.
Who does he think he is this Big Brother, doesn't he know the story of
David and Goliath? Spread the news!!!

Je ne commence PAS cet événement parce que je
le veux tellement, NON PLUS parce que je n'ai rien d'autre à faire, je
commence cet événement pour vous assurer de ne pas avoir à écrire la
même histoire dans le futur.
Mon histoire a commencé il y a plus
de 10 ans. En tant que jeune artiste, j'ai demandé à un ami de me
construire un site sur mon travail. Mon nom est David (Deev), je fais
des sculptures (art), de cette manière

est né. Plus de 10 ans, j'ai mis de l'amour et du travail dans ce site,
et je me suis senti comme un père, fier de cette création virtuelle.
Pagerank 4 sur Google, la première page à apparaître sous la rubrique
'metal art sculptures ', 500 liens pointant vers lui et des milliers de
personnes qui l'ont visité et qui ont mes cartes de visite depuis. Mais
parfois joyeuses histoires ont une fin, ... quand nous ne suivons pas
(ou même quand nous oublions de suivre) le règlement de 'Big Brother'
par exemple, intouchable et froid.
Il y a dix ans une amie a créé mon
site avec Yahoo. Je pensais que c'était une bonne idée de choisir pour
une entreprise bien connue dans laquelle j'ai honnêtement cru jusqu'à il
y a deux mois! Ce jour-là, d'une seconde à une autre, je n'étais plus
le propriétaire de mon propre nom! Yahoo avait vendu mon nom de domaine!
Sans ma permission, sans que je savais, ils ont vendu mon nom artdeev.com
à une entreprise australienne qui vend (!!!) des Domains de noms.
Qu'est ce qui s'était passé? Je ne comprenais pas. Il semble que le
contrat de 10 ans a expiré, et aussi les 40 jours ajoutés. Comment
est-ce possible? Quelle erreur ai-je faite? Ils ne m'ont pas demandé,
ils ne m'ont pas communiqué, ni l'amie qui a créé le site il y a dix
ans! Elle semblait toujours être la propriétaire officielle, elle vit
toujours à la même adresse, a le même numéro de téléphone qu' il y a 10
ans. Tout à coup elle était là, mon erreur: je n'ai pas le mot de passe
ou une adresse mail liée à la création du site! Je ne le savais pas, je
ne l'ai jamais demandé à mon amie et à ce sujet elle a cru de me l'avoir
donné.
Alors peut-être (?) Yahoo a envoyé un e-mail de notification
sur l'expiration. Seulement ni moi, ni mon amie, on a jamais ouvert
cette adresse e-mail dans dix ans, donc on pourrait penser que les mails
ont été renvoyés à l'expéditeur et pour cette raison ils auraient avoir
téléphoné ou écrit à l'adresse postale du propriétaire! Non, expiré,
vendu, un nouveau propriétaire. Et à savoir que mon propre nom et mon
adresse e-mail sont sur le site et que j'ai toujours payé avec mon visa,
donc ils savaient mon nom.
Quand j'ai contacté le «nouveau»
propriétaire deux jours plus tard j'ai mis une précommande pour le site
et je ne reçois aucune réponse. Entretemps un autre ami à moi qui est IT
consultant et journaliste prend contact avec les chefs de Yahoo en
Europe et en Amérique. Quelques jours plus tard, le site devient un
casino en ligne et encore quelques jours plus tard, le site change de
propriétaire à nouveau, avec le même continu du casino!?, C'est à
nouveau une compagnie de vendeurs des noms domaine internet à Portland
cette fois-ci. Quand je leur demande de racheter mon nom, la réponse est
claire et nette: «Sur l'existence d'un nom de domaine nos experts
peuvent vous renseigner, entrez simplement une offre de 2500 $ ou plus
et nous allons commencer.!" Simplement??? Excusez-moi, j'ai oublié de
payer 10 $ pour ce nom, donc c'est ce que eux aussi ont du avoir payé!

L'histoire est encore un peu plus compliqué, mais
voici les faits les plus importants. Ainsi, de l'autre côté du monde,
une société possède mon nom de site, ils m'ont empêché de pouvoir
travailler plus qu'un mois, etc, ... Je vis avec ma famille de mon
travail et ce que la plupart d'entre vous sait, ce n'est pas évident de
gagner sa vie avec de l'art. Mais Big Brother s'en fou de tout cela, se
qui compte sont les sous et le règlement, les règles qu'il a écrit
lui-même! Aucune compassion, aucune humanité, aucun sentiment, pas de
l'art du tout! Ça aurait pu être "simple" : lorsque j'ai remarqué que le
site avait disparu, j'aurais pu agis, j'aurais pu le racheté et payé
une amende pour être en retard. Si aujourd'hui vous tapez les mots
'Vanorbeek david' sur google, artdeev monte. Un site sur le jeu, poker,
bingo, rien à voir avec moi, mais mon nom est associé avec lui! Est-ce
légal alors, parce que ce qu'ils font, eux, est légal!
Je
voudrais demander à chacun d'entre vous, les little brothers et les
little sœurs, comme une sorte de soutien et comme preuve que vous avez
lu cette histoire que vous n'avez pas à écrire la même chose dans
l'avenir, «aime», «suivre »,« joindre » cet événement et "inviter" (en
haut de la page) tous vos amis de le lire et d'y adhérer. Qui croit-il
qu'il est ce Big Brother, ne connait-il pas l'histoire de David et
Goliath?
